Technical precision, fluidity, and elegance is his notable forte. His complete knowledge of kinesiology, synergy, and music; comfortable and humorous manner; and, fun and passionate hunger for teaching makes him a much appreciated and requested tango teacher, increasingly invited regularly to give classes and workshops in Europe, Mexico, and the U.S. He has been credited with being first to introduce, and nurture to success, tango in Alaska and Maui, Hawai`i. Percell and partner, Tammie Press of Alaska, co-sponsored the AK tour of the show “Milonga Boulevard”, and directed and choreographed the initial 10-month run of the successful fully staged musical, “The Soul of Argentina: A Tribute to Tango”. In May of 2005, under the guide of Christina Johnson of Natchez, MS, he, and Tango Mississippi’s Shellie Hubbard of Hattiesburg, are all first to bring Argentine Tango to Mississippi. 

Percell’s background includes a long history of jazz, tap, ballroom, latin, theatre arts, and cabaret dance styles, and actor’s theatre. He has performed in several Broadway musicals, touring companies, and television series and commercials, and is recognized in whole or in part by the National Dance Council of America, National Dance Teachers of America, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (Europe), United States Independent Dance Council, World Salsa Federation, and the Buenos Aires Council on Cultural Affairs.
